Prevalence of dental ankylosis in primary molar

Background: To evaluate the prevalence of dental ankylosis in primary molar. Materials & Methods: A total 50 molars were enrolled. The age patients was 6 to 10 years. 18 girls and boys. Radiographic examination done. diagnosis informed by presence different degrees infraocclusion appearance adjacent bone (The loss periodontal space). ankylosed tooth compared with corresponding molar opposite quadrant. Data collected result analysed using chi- squared test SPSS software. Results: According location, teeth more lower jaw as 90% upper i.e 10%. third quadrant has number 56% followed fourth 34%. Conclusion: higher quadrant, especially first molars.
